We Can't Do It Alone

These days, we can't afford to forego our commitment to working together. We are maturing as disciples together as a group. We could try to introduce others to Jesus on our own, but we'll be far more effective if we work together. Paul cautions Timothy that he cannot carry out his ministry duties. Only if we have the strength of spirit can we accomplish this. Jesus calls himself the "vine," and his followers "branches" (John 15:5). There was a reason Jesus picked his followers, and that involved their continued attachment to him, the vine (John 15:6).
